Birds In Glass produces accurate representations of Southern birds. The process begins with a photograph which is translated into a stained glass pattern with as much detail as the medium allows. Glass colors are chosen from the limited commercial supplies to match or approximate the actual bird colors.
Each bird image contains as many field marks and as much feather detail as possible. Very narrow foil is used so that the image is dominated by the glass and not the solder.
